We are The Circle of The Silver Moon. We are not bound by the tradition of other times and other cultures. We are an eclectic group. We owe no allegiance to any person or power greater than the Divine manifest through our own being and that of Nature. However we obey the laws of the people, accept honest leadership, honor those who sacrifice for our safety and freedom, and respect those who teach with greater wisdom. We welcome and respect all life-affirming teachings and traditions, seeking to learn from their experience and to share our own. We commit ourselves to the Path and to those who join with us on the journey.
It is with this spirit of welcome and cooperation that we open our circle to recieve any who sincerely wish to join with us in the celebration and practice of the Craft. In our efforts to be inclusive we do not discriminate based on race, creed, color, sex, age or sexual orientation.
We celebrate the Sacred Mysteries to attune ourselves with the natural rhythm of life marked by the phases of the Moon and the seasonal quarters and cross-quarters. We acknowledge our responsibilities to the Earth and all of its inhabitants, seeking to live in harmony and balance with Nature.
We percieve deity as manifesting through polarity, masculine/feminine, light/dark, positive/negative, inherent in all things. However, we do not endeavor to define deity as we believe that is based on personal experience and understanding.
We do not accept the concept of heredity, titles, degrees or initiations to be the defining of a witch. We believe that Witchcraft and the practice thereof consists of controlling and manipulating the natural forces /elements of Nature to evoke positive changes both within and without for the enrichment of self and Nature in all her aspects; to live wisely and well, without harm to others, in balance and harmony with the natural and supernatural worlds.
We do not accept the existence of "absolute evil", nor do we worship any entity known as Satan or the Devil as defined by the Christian tradition. In point of fact our only animosity toward any other religion or philosophy is to the extent that its precepts claim singular, universal primacy and seek to deny and/or suppress the freedom to practice any other belief system. We do not seek to proselytize, yet remain open to any fair and honest exchange.
We are a family, brothers and sisters of our own choosing. As such, we support each other in our faith as well as in our personal lives. We strive toward the ideal of perfect love and perfect trust within our circle.
